With over two decades of experience in finance and technology, James brings a wealth of expertise that will propel CUBE forward in its mission to revolutionise regulatory technology.
James’ journey began with building award-winning low-latency Foreign Exchange and fixed-income trading systems before taking on leadership positions at prestigious financial institutions including Refinitiv, JP Morgan Chase, Deutsche Bank, and Credit Suisse. Notably, James actively contributed to the open-source community during the formative stages of FinOS, the Fintech Open-Source Foundation.
Until mid-2022, James served as the interim Chief Technology Officer and Group Head of Platform for data and analytics at the London Stock Exchange Group, following the acquisition of Refinitiv. During his tenure, he recognised the pivotal role of knowledge extraction enabled by AI in fortifying financial sector control and enhancing ESG reporting, crucial in combating climate change.
Before becoming a part of the CUBE family, James lent his technical expertise to BeZero Carbon, where he played an important role in scaling the carbon credit rating agency and leveraging technology to support its successful Series B investment.
"I am thrilled to embark on this journey with CUBE, an organisation committed to pioneering innovative solutions in regulatory technology," James remarked. "The application of AI at CUBE is exciting and is a natural continuation of my interest in being able to convert unstructured information into actionable data and insights. By delivering on expanding our shared mission, I believe we will continue to drive meaningful change in the financial regulatory landscape."
Ben Richmond, CEO, and founder of CUBE:
"We are delighted to welcome James Turck to CUBE.
